We spent the entire day in Bryce Canyon National Park today! We hit as many of the viewpoints as we could and experienced clear skies with a warm strong sun as well as some rather cold and wet snow! Quite a day!

We headed out for a road trip through a bit of southern Utah and northern Arizona along Route 89 and 89A. Route 89 and its alternate routing meet in Utah in the town of Kanab and in Arizona near the town of Page. There are quite a few interesting sights to see along the way, plenty more than can be visited in a day! Though, having a knee injury means many of the sights were unfortunately off the table for this trip.

We headed out this morning to visit the north rim of Grand Canyon National Park. The road from the north into the park as well as visitor services opened for the season in the morning. There were a good number of people there though it ultimately never felt too busy. The weather was generally excellent with reasonable temperatures and a mostly clear sky though some clouds did occasionally pass by.

Today, we visited the Pipe Springs National Monument in Arizona as well as the nearby Coral Pink Sand Dunes in Utah. It was a hot and sunny day with temperatures in the 90s and very little wind. Luckily, it was a dry heat as is typical in this part of the country.

On the seventh day of skiing, Arapahoe Basin gave to me, 3 inches of fresh snow! Unfortunately not quite near the upper range of 8 inches that was forecast but at least it wasn’t busy all day and I never had to wait in a line. Overall yet another fantastic day of skiing and the last of this trip and season! Hopefully by the 2021/2022 season all the pandemic related changes will no longer be necessary.
