There are a number of cherry blossom trees at Fort McHenry. We headed over today to take a look! The majority are located in two separate groves on opposite sides of the fort but there are a number near the parking lot and visitor center as well.
The cherry blossoms look incredible right now! We walked around the outside of the fort as well as along the walls trying to capture the blossoms with the fort as best we could. It does look like the grove of trees to the north is doing a bit better than the grove to the south. The northern grove is very dense with blossoms while the southern grove has some bare branches and a dead tree or two. But both still look wonderful overall!
We took some close up photos of the cherry blossoms as well. The southern grove seems to be of a whiter color while the northern grove has a light shade of pink.
